Has your Puppy or Kitten had the right start to their life? |
The younger the better!!!
These frequent consultations with a nurse could prove to be vital in the up-bringing of your puppy or kitten.
Like with humans when you are brought in to this world you are oblivious to your surroundings. However, we do share natural instincts with animals and start absorbing information from an early age. If this information is not correctly demonstrated to our pets, you soon could be dealing with a very un-welcoming situation on your hands.
|
|
|
We will teach you all you need to know to raise a puppy or kitten so you can mutually enjoy the companionship of each other. The development of your puppy and kitten will be monitored carefully and the learning strategy to each consultation will be tailored individually.
We not only discuss puppy and kitten care, our qualified veterinary nurse will be able to advise you on any medical health care.
So start now before its too late!!

The most important stages of development are when we are young.
How we act, the way in which we have been brought up, understanding our limits, the correct etiquette...etc |
The answer is it should not be.
As respectable pet owners we should be the ones training our pets to have all the above and more. |
Triage pets will discuss aspects off training, behaviour and socialisation for your dog or cat. The consultation will be aimed to advise you , and if you are experiencing problems together we will try to resolve them.
- Toilet and litter box training
- Socialising with the great outdoors and other pets.
- Behaviour regards to a multitude of different situations i.e.: dogs with nuisance barking and cats with urinating in the house
- The correct ways to reward you pet and more importantly when to reward them

The key element to ensuring a happy, healthy pet is good nutrition surely- "you are what you eat?"
Prepared veterinary diets provide a all round balanced diet. These carefully formulated diets ensure you are feeding and meeting all the needs your pet requires.
The diets must be tailored to the correct species, age, and life style. Ignoring these factors could mean you are providing your pet a inadequate nutritional meal. |
 |
Our pets have the upper hand on us...we can not resist their sorry filled eyes when in comes to treats and spoiling them...and why should we?
As long as treats are accounted for in their diet and limited to the amount given, you wont be risking overfeeding leading to obesity.
Diet and Nutrition are essential to animals just as it is to us. We as pet owners are the ones responsible for our pets health. We are the ones to ensure they have a happy, content and healthy life.
Triage Pets has a Hills Veterinary Health Advisor that can help you take those essential steps. |

Most dental problems start small at become worse overtime. The problem we face is how to tell if our pet is suffering?
- Bad breath
- Loose teeth
- Gingivitis (inflammation of the gums)
- Chattering
- Drooling
- Lack of appetite
- Bleeding gums
|
They are many ways in which to prevent and minimise dental disease. The ideal scenario is to brush their teeth daily. Realistically we know that there is only a small amount of animals that would allow us to that. The younger we teach them the more likely they are to tolerate it being done.
|
 |
|
The correct diet and toys also prevent dental disease. Are you doing all you can?
Our dental consults ensure your pets mouth has been examined thoroughly and advise will be given accordingly.
We will brush your pets teeth for you! Book your pet into have their teeth brushed!!
Remember,
"preventative dental care will leave your pet feeling more comfortable, leading to a pain free mouth"
